Observation details
The birds were actually sitting over the slough connecting Mud Lake and Cocklebur Lakes in the extreme southwest corner of Tennessee, just a few hundred yards north of the Mississippi State Line. There are seven Roseates in the photo with one partially hidden just below the top of the snag. The lower right hand bird is a Great Egret.
