Media notes
A female White-winged Fairy-wren carrying nesting material. White-winged Fairy-wrens (Malurus leucopterus) are widespread throughout arid and semi-arid Australia, and are typically found in saltmarshes and chenopod shrublands. Like other Fairy-wren species, White-winged Fairy-wrens are commonly in family groups that inhabit and defend a territory. This female White-winged Fairy-wren was perching with several fluffy daisy seeds in her beak, presumably for lining her nest. Elevation: 2 m. Date added to IBC: September 12, 2019.
