A male Crested Bellbird feeding on the ground. The rhythmic, somewhat melancholy call of the north-western race of the Crested Bellbird (Oreoica gutturalis pallescens) is characteristic of Australia’s semi-arid mulga and mallee woodlands. This male Crested Bellbird was feeding on the ground at the base of an Acacia shrub on Wooleen Station. Elevation: 293 m. Date added to IBC: July 2, 2019.
