Media notes
A Southern Whiteface pair perching in a Miniritchie – one preening, one calling. The western race of the Southern Whiteface (Aphelocephala leucopsis castaneiventris) occurs in the semi-arid and arid areas of Western Australia. Southern Whitefaces usually forage on the ground for small invertebrates – this pair had just alighted in the branches of a Miniritchie (Acacia grasbyi) after feeding on the ground. One bird preened itself while the other responded to the calls of another Whiteface nearby. Elevation: 293 m. Date added to IBC: July 2, 2019.
