Media notes
A Pacific Gull waiting for fish scraps. The Pacific Gull (Larus pacificus) is Australia’s largest Gull, and is sparsely distributed along the south and west coasts of the continent. Pacific Gulls breed on offshore islands, and mostly avoid human settlements, unlike the much more abundant Silver Gull. This adult Pacific Gull was the exception to the rule, waiting patiently for scraps from a fisherman filleting his catch nearby in the Jurien Bay Boat Harbour, on the mid-west coast of Western Australia. Elevation: 0 m. Date added to IBC: July 2, 2019.
