A male Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo walking and feeding. The western race of the Major Mitchell’s (or Pink) Cockatoo (Cacatua leadbeateri mollis) is uncommon, and is found in low numbers in the semi-arid areas of Australia. This male was one of a pair that was feeding on the ground on Wooleen Station in Western Australia’s Murchison Region. Elevation: 293 m. Date added to IBC: July 2, 2019.
