A pair of Red-kneed Dotterels head-bobbing and feeding in the shallows. Red-kneed Dotterels (Erythrogonys cinctus) are widespread in Australia, and are only absent from the Nullarbor Plain and desert areas north of it. Several Red-kneed Dotterels were loafing and feeding in the shallows of Yewlands Pool on Wooleen Station in Western Australia’s semi-arid Murchison Region. This pair of Red-kneed Dotterels was standing in the shallows, head-bobbing and feeding occasionally. Elevation: 293 m. Date added to IBC: July 1, 2019.
