A vagrant Wandering Whistling-duck loafing with several Grey Teal. Wandering Whistling Ducks (Dendrocygna arcuata) are found in tropical and subtropical northern and eastern Australia, and also occur in Borneo, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific islands. The species is highly dispersive, and is vagrant to the south-east and south-west of Australia. This lone Wandering Whistling Duck was loafing with hundreds of Grey Teal (Anas gracilis) on the edge of Herdsman Lake near Perth in Western Australia. Elevation: 7 m. Date added to IBC: May 22, 2019.
