A Grey Shrike-thrush feeding on the ground. The Grey Shrike-thrush (Colluricincla harmonica) is an exceptional songster and occurs widely in all but the most arid regions of Australia (except Tasmania). It also occurs on larger offshore islands and Southern New Guinea. Grey Shrike-thrushes are predators, and take a range of invertebrates, frogs, lizards, small birds and eggs. They mostly forage on the ground. Elevation: 224 m. Date added to IBC: September 30, 2018.
