Yellow-plumed Honeyeaters bathing. The Yellow-plumed Honeyeater (Lichenostomus or Ptilotula ornatus) is common in mallee eucalypt and open woodlands across southern Australia, mainly in inland areas although it occurs closer to the coast if mallee woodlands are present. Yellow-plumed Honeyeaters are the dominant honeyeater species in the Wandoo, Yate and mallee woodland growing at the Stirling Range Retreat on the edge of Stirling Range National Park in southern Western Australia. Elevation: 224 m. Date added to IBC: September 30, 2018.
