An African Swamphen feeding in in the Wakkerstroom Wetland Reserve. The African Swamphen (Porphyrio p. madagascarensis) is a sedentary, locally common resident in freshwater wetlands with dense fringing vegetation. This Swamphen was foraging in the Wakkerstroom Wetland Reserve, South Africa. Elevation: 1748 m. Date added to IBC: June 20, 2018.
