A pair of Capped Wheatears perching. The Capped Wheatear (Oenanthe pileata) is a locally common bird that prefers dry habitats such as overgrazed grassland, semi-arid shrubland and dry grassy plains. This pair of Capped Wheatears were perching on a dead branch near Mankwe Hide in Pilanesberg National Park. Elevation: 1305 m. Date added to IBC: June 20, 2018.
