An Eared Dove resting on a pathway. Eared Doves (Zenaida auriculata) are widely distributed through South America and occur in most habitats except for rainforest in the Amazon Basin. It is the most abundant dove species in South America. This Eared Dove was resting on a pathway in the grounds of the Belmond Hotel das Cataratas in Iguacu National Park in Brazil. Elevation: 214 m. Date added to IBC: February 17, 2019.
