A male Anhinga perching then flying off. The Darter or Anhinga (Anhinga anhinga) is widely distributed throughout the warmer parts of the Americas, and prefers shallow, slow-moving inland waters. This male Anhinga was perching on a rock in the swiftly-flowing Iguazu River in Iguazu National Park, Argentina. Elevation: 218 m. Date added to IBC: February 16, 2019.
