A Scale-throated Earthcreeper on rock, singing. The Scale-throated Earthcreeper (Upucerthia dumetaria) is a cryptic Furnariid found in high altitude grassland and shrubland and arid lowland scrub. It is most easily located by its loud chipping call. This Scale-throated Earthcreeper was in rocky terrain in Plaza de los Pumas – Park a little to the east of Farellones in the Andes above Santiago. Elevation: 2395 m. Date added to IBC: February 16, 2019.
