Media notes
A pair of Coscoroba Swans on their nest with four cygnets. Coscoroba Swans (Coscoroba coscoroba) are endemic to southern South America, and are fairly common in Patagonia, occupying mainly freshwater wetlands. This pair of Coscoroba Swans had nested against a flooded fence in the Laguna los Palos on Route 9. The female swan was huddled near the four cygnets, sheltering them from the strong wind, while the male stood on the edge of the huge nest, preening occasionally. Elevation: 18 m. Date added to IBC: March 2, 2019.
