A White-tufted Grebe on milfoil, preening and dozing. White-tufted Grebes (Rollandia r. rolland) are fairly common on freshwater ponds in the Falkland Islands. This bird was on Big Pond on Pebble Island, swimming amongst Milfoil (Myriophyllum quitense). Elevation: 49 m. Date added to IBC: February 7, 2019.
