A Silvery Grebe swimming amongst Milfoil. Silvery Grebes (Podiceps occipitalis) are fairly common on freshwater ponds in the Falkland Islands. This bird was on Big Pond on Pebble Island, swimming rapidly amongst Milfoil (Myriophyllum quitense) before diving. Elevation: 49 m. Date added to IBC: February 7, 2019.
