Media notes
A Social Flycatcher perching over the Iguazu River, watching for prey. Social Flycatchers (Myiozetetes similis) resemble Greater Kiskadees in appearance, and like them perch openly above the ground, flying from their perch to catch insects on the wing. This bird was sitting on a dead branch in the fast-flowing Iguazu River, looking for prey. I apologise for the shaky video – the swift river current and passers-by were causing the Ganganta del Diablo walkway in Iguazu National Park, Argentina to shake!. Elevation: 218 m. Date added to IBC: February 20, 2019.
