A Black-fronted Piping-guan eating algae from rocks in a shallow river. The Urugua-í Provincial Park is one of the more reliable places to see the spectacular, turkey-sized Black-fronted Piping-guan. One or more birds gather in the river each morning, standing in the shallow flowing water to harvest algae attached to the rocks. Elevation: 341 m. Date added to IBC: December 6, 2018.
