Burchell's Starling perching on a shrub then flying off. Burchell’s Starling (Lamprotornis australis) is one of Africa’s spectacular glossy starling species. It lives in open woodland and savanna, and has a restricted distribution within Kruger Park, occurring mainly in the area around Satara Restcamp and southwards. This bird was perching on a shrub at the edge of the Bume River crossing in southern Kruger Park. Elevation: 287 m. Date added to IBC: June 9, 2018.
