Media notes
An Australian Reed-Warbler perching close to the water hunting small insects. The Australian Reed-Warbler (Acrocephalus australis) has drab plumage but an outstanding call. It is almost always found in reed beds such as these Typha bulrushes in Lake Monger near Perth. This Reed Warbler was perching on a rush close to the water in the late afternoon, watching intently for small insects to appear. When they did it caught and ate them. Elevation: 13 m. Date added to IBC: June 3, 2018.
