A western White-cheeked Honeyeater foraging for insects in a Grevillea. The western Australian race of the beautiful White-cheeked Honeyeater (Phylidonyris niger gouldii) is not common near Perth and can only be seen reliably at a few places. Lake Richmond near Rockingham has a thriving population. They were still feeding young in May 2018. This bird was looking for insects amongst the foliage of a Grevillea shrub to feed its chick. Elevation: 0 m. Date added to IBC: June 3, 2018.
