Media notes
Thick-billed Weaver pair at their nest in reeds. The Thick-billed Weaver (Amblyospiza albifrons) builds one of the most finely constructed nests of any species of weaver. This pair was nesting in Phragmites rushes on the edge of the Timbavati River in Kruger Park. The female seemed to have accepted the nest and was inside it while the male made his harsh song perched on a reed below. Elevation: 287 m. Date added to IBC: April 18, 2018.
