White-breasted Robin with a spider. The engaging White-breasted Robin is endemic to south-western Western Australia. These birds are quite confiding, and are found in a wide range of habitats, ranging from coastal dune thickets to the dense understory of eucalypt forests, particularly Karri (Eucalyptus diversicolor) and Jarrah (E. marginata). This Robin caught a jumping spider, and killed it by beating it against a fallen branch, but lost it as the spider broke in two with the impact of the blow. Elevation: 0 m. Date added to IBC: February 24, 2018.
