Media notes
Skua eating King Penguin carrion. Brown Skuas are always present at rookeries, where they attempt to steal eggs or nestlings from unguarded nests. This bird had found the carcass of a dead King Penguin. It had flown off with it to a secluded spot, and then attempted to eat what it could before another Skua discovered it. Elevation: 3 m. Date added to IBC: January 11, 2018.
