Media notes
King Penguins moulting, standing in stream. Salisbury Plain on the east coast of South Georgia supports an enormous breeding colony of King Penguins. During our visit in November 2015, most of the adult birds were moulting. They seemed irritated by the moulting feathers, and spent most of their time standing in a meltwater stream preening. The stream was full of their moulted feathers. Elevation: 3 m. Date added to IBC: January 11, 2018.
