Media notes

Behaviour of this bird while vocalize, rock and stretch the tail before fly. The population named "medianus" is restricted to the Belém Area of Endemism, located between Tocantins River and West of Maranhão state. This is the most endangered region of Amazon, this hummingbird is threatened by high ratios of habitat loss due the illegal logging. This video was made a few minutes in the little fragment of secondary growth forest behind the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. Elevation: 20 m. Date added to IBC: September 24, 2017.
