Media notes
A brief view of a young bird foraging on a tree trunk. The juvenile of the South Island Saddleback looks very different to the adult, to the point that they receive its own popular name, "Jackbird". This is one of the reasons to split this species from the North Island Saddleback, in which the juveniles are very similar to the adults. Elevation: 49 m. Date added to IBC: June 23, 2016.
