A foraging young male South Island Brown Kiwi on a beach, and a look at its tracks. With the splitting of the Brown Kiwi into two species, this form (South Island Brown Kiwi) being endemic to South Island and Stewart Island, New Zealand. Both islands have their own subspecies. Filmed with a red filter on the torch with a guide. The same beach as the famous David Attenborough scene. Elevation: 3 m. Date added to IBC: June 23, 2016.
