A perched male of this recently split species in a small tree (unfortunately no sound recorded during my first two weeks of.....my year).A recently (december 2014) split spcies, known as Western Whistler (Pachycephala occidentalis). See http://wabirdingblog.blogspot.nl/2015/01/new-almost-endemic-species-for-wa.html Subspecies occidentalis. Elevation: 192 m. Date added to IBC: June 23, 2016.
