Media notes

Nifty beak-and-claw combination by seed-eating Siskin. In France the Siskin is known as the Tarin des Aulnes (Alders), so it is not really surprising that this male is feeding on last year's mature female alder seed catkins. The male alder catkins are longer and resemble those on hazelnut trees. Elevation: 220 m. Date added to IBC: June 22, 2016.
