Media notes

Calls of several downy young (about 25 days old) at and near nest. The bird(s) would stretch up toward the mike, gape and scream. It was unclear whether this was begging for food or being defiant. Occasionally pecked at the mike. Habitat: Lake, Island.

  • California Gull Larus californicus
