Apapane foraging in bottlebrush (Callistemon) tree at our place in Olinda. The apapane had commandeered this bottlebrush and were chasing off the Warbling White-eyes that were trying to get nectar from the flowers.
Observation details
Still present. We are now seeing them visiting the ohia we planted outside our house. They are also foraging in a bottlebrush hedge.
