Observation details
**unseasonal; continuing; seen this time in holly swale just past pumphouse, among same flock (2-4 each of chickadees and titmice, 2 White-breasted Nuthatches, 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet, 1 sapsucker, and one Downy. Hafner made fun of my digibinning efforts two days ago—this was even worse since the bird gave prolonged good looks (see photos from two days ago). Sticky passerine with thick, dark Bill, grayish Head with sharp division with white throat at malar, bold eye ring and connecting line above lores, bold white wing bars, faint yellowish on flanks, rather short, notched tail. Moved slowly and silently in flock and inspected me from 20 ft up while I made vain attempts to digibin. This bird has rather dusky chest and contrasting white throat.
