Observation details
A bird climbing up a small trunk and launching itself into leafy shrubbery, repeatedly. The bird did this at least 20 times while I watched. I never once saw it come away with anything in its bill (insect or leaf), nor were the leaves wet (so not a bathing ritual). I could detect nothing other than leaves on the shrub that the bird repeatedly hurled itself into. Not a clue as to what it was doing or why!
