Observation details
Just a blind guess really on numbers, my feeling is that this winter starling flock is at least in the tens of thousands, if not low hundreds. Even the landscape photo below shows only one slice of a long ribbon of birds. They seem to travel between the nearby landfill (along I-5) and open fields in the northern part of Camas Swale. Today the flock was right next to the east end of Dillard Road, an impressive sight in countless murmurations!
