Observation details

Adult male Oriole identified by black bib from eyes to chin and throat and encompassing eye, long decurved bill; overall bright yellow-orange body with black wings, back, and long tail; two white wing bars and white edges to secondaries and tertials; pale edges to back feathers give the back a scalloped appearance. The oriole is attending a window mounted hummingbird feeder of my private residence,; and staging in the pink-flowering Escalonia shrub and shore pine adjacent to my cottage. Photos
