Digiscoping with IPhone 6s and Celestron Scope
Observation details
The highlight of the day. As Jayrson, Luciano and I walked through the marsh, the bittern flushed off and we could see it in flight for a few seconds, until it landed abruptly on the dense aquatic vegetation. The rest of the group arrived, and we could see it again, now with its head and neck straightly exposed. Clear views and even photos taken with my phone and the scope. Stayed at the same spot for about 15 minutes. Taped in and seen closely, flew off as we started moving, entering the dense marsh and vanishing for the rest of the morning. Showed interested in the playback, though it didn't respond, it actually approached significantly and looked for the sound, but always shy to our presence. Probably arrived yesterday night with the heavy rains, as it wasn't detected yesterday, though we have spent a lot of time at the same spot.
