Bosque que alcanza el Tebycuary, a una distancia de 1, 5 km de este Río (camino vehicular). Habitat: Bosque alto con relativa buena cobertura y estructura, liban en flores enrredaderas de un árbol muerto alto. Durante el corte estan posados en ramas finas altas expuestos, se óye cuando parten en vuelo, persiguiéndose. Se los observó libar, luego posados y posteriormente alejar a otro trochilido no identificado. Una voz de la especie.
