Observation details
Continuing female at private residence; fed on porch feeder for at least three minutes, then launched into the sky and flew off high to the northeast. Drabber overall and slightly longer billed than RTHU; wingtips broader and blunter tipped; more extensive gray smudging on cheeks and flanks than typical for RTHU. Little/no throat stippling and primaries nearly reaching tail tip consistent with female; presumably 1st-year based on pale tipped crown feathers. Photos.
