Observation details
Passerine, smaller than meadowlarks, which we flushed a few times. Each time it would fly up into the air, circle around a few times, and then return to the ground a few hundred feet away. Each time it would flush it would say tsseeep, as well as a few times while in flight. Call was high pitched. White outer tail feathers and thin bill (not conical) visible on bird in flight, but hard to discern any other plumage detail. We never actually saw the bird on the ground (it always flushed before we could get close).
