Observation details
Sort of an interesting junco. At first glance I just thought it was going to be a male "Oregon" type junco, but then from a different angle it appeared more like a "Cassiar" (cismontanus) type junco--intergradation between "Oregon" and "Slate-colored" type juncos. Seemed to have some brownish mixed with charcoal gray in the sides. Plenty of brown in the back. So I'm not sure what the typical range of features might be within the "Cassiar" type complex.
