Observation details
Birds flew into pines above us while watching the trough. I saw a brief glimpse of the male while obtaining a photo. The female left and came back a little later, offering great views near the trough. Male black with large white wing patches. White stripes on black face, red throat. Yellow belly. Female had black and white barred back, brown face, yellow belly. See photos.
