Observation details
For more details, see my posts/submissions on this bird over the week beginning 16 Nov 2019. Temperature: 62 ºF Clear sky Wind: calm Time of videos 7:40-7:48 am Vocalizations were more frequent than sightings. Many of the vocalizations were further south from my back yard than in the previous week. I have not observed the bird feeding at the feeder I hung earlier in the week. Also, I have not seen any Ruby-throated Hummingbirds in my back yard since the first day I saw the Rufous Hummingbird. On this morning, I was able to take video of the Rufous Hummingbird on three occasions as he perched. Each video was about 2 minutes in length. The video camera has 20x optical zoom. Each video was taken at maximum zoom and without the aid of a tripod and as such was very shaky and most often not in focus. The images associated with this post are single-frame screenshots of the video taken from my computer monitor (I used Quicktime for viewing the video). While these images are of poor quality, they add to the information provided in the previous three images submitted. Camera: Canon Vixia HF R100, 20x optical zoom
