Observation details
First observation at 1122. 1 counted on property. 1 individual(s) singing. Adult. First spotted when it landed in a Prunus virginiana thicket north of the stream and ca 50-75 m E of the rocky draw and began singing. Sang vigorously for several minutes, repeating a phrase in a mimid-like fashion before switching to another phrase. The shrike then flew to a chokecherry ca 100 m N of the creek along the rocky draw and dropped down to the ground, apparently foraging. Not seen again. Detections (number 15-minute intervals in which the species was detected): 2 on property.
