Media notes
Hadn't realised until now that in white headed birds upper orbital ring is yellow - unlike local birds where it's orange or red.
Observation details
Andrew Gregory & Richard Attenborrow picked up this flock of six stunning white headed birds as they came in off the sea to the north of the freshwater pools. They gradually worked their way across the fields to the hedge behind the pools, then continued inland until they reached the first small copse with decent trees and cover and joined feeding flock with other tits/crests. Gave eyewatering views, really should be outlawed.
