Observation details
At mouth of pescadero creek. Flock moved around a lot due to foot traffic. In the company of Marbled Godwits. Like MAGO, shows long, slightly upcurved, black bill with pink base. Smaller and more slender than MAGO. Overall impression is a gray bird rather than orange. Gray-brown crown, pale supercilium, and dark line behind eye. Pale lores. Back shows black and white checkered pattern Breast buffy; belly and undertail white. Black legs. Barred tail (not visible in photos.)
