Habitat: Tropical forest. Mixed group TO2 duet, including about 24 great-call sequences, and a pileated group (unseen) heard duetting at about 5:30 and 8:30 in tape. The pileated female's great-call ends in a long rapid bubbly sound with around 10 notes/s. The TO2 female is a hybrid intermediate between the species, mated to a pileatus male heard duetting with her. Equipment Notes: Unspecified Sony cassette recorder and Sony microphone.
