Peregrine pair on radio mast of main Fitchburg fire station at corner of North and Main Streets, two blocks E from the Riverfront Park grounds proper. Larger bird on left (presumed female) was tearing apart a pigeon. Smaller bird on right (presumed male) was repeatedly vocalizing. (Distant photo for documentary purposes.)
Observation details
A pair, one visibly larger than the other, circling together over the E end of the park. A few minutes later they were seen perched together on the radio mast of the main fire station on North Street, two blocks E of the park grounds proper. The larger (presumed female) bird was tearing apart a pigeon and the smaller male next to her was repeatedly vocalizing.
